Chiropractic Manipulation
Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the body’s structure — mainly the spine — and its functioning. The spine houses and protects the spinal cord, which is the “switchboard” through which nerve impulses are transmitted from the brain to all parts of the body. Injured or misaligned vertebra can interfere with these nerve transmissions, inhibit mobility, and cause pain or discomfort.
Chiropractic treatment realigns the vertebrae so that the nerve impulses are not restricted. When the spine is properly aligned, the cause of pain and malfunction is removed, and the body returns to normal.
Chiropractic treatment helps correct mechanical problems in joints and muscles, instead of simply masking the pain with a pill. Correcting these problems is similar to straightening teeth. It takes a commitment in time and a team effort shared by doctor and patient. That’s why we give our patients a number of treatment options to consider prior to beginning care.
YOU decide what type of chiropractic treatment and level of care you want!
Once your pain is gone, you may decide to work on the cause of your problem; misaligned or unstable joints and loss of flexibility or strength. We may prescribe stretching and strengthening exercises, postural training and corrective spinal manipulation.
Maintenance or Wellness Care
We know that our bodies undergo daily wear and tear from gravity, work and recreational activities and unforeseen accidents. That’s why so many families have found that regular Chiropractic “check ups” helps them save time and money by promoting general health and well-being and catching neuromusculo-skeletal problems before they result in pain and disability.
